This 1/24 Clic Loc assembly model recreates the Volkswagen Type 2 (T1) Samba in a build format that avoids glue and paint, making it accessible for quick construction and display.
The Type 2 (T1) first arrived in March 1950 as a complement to the Beetle platform, built around a rear-mounted, air-cooled four-cylinder engine and a compact, curved body shell. The Samba edition is recognised for its expanded glazing with 23 windows and an optional canvas sunroof, offering passenger accommodation on a flat floor accessed via twin side doors. Production spanned the 1950s into the 1960s and the model remains a classic of mid-century light transport design.
Moulded parts reproduce the Samba's distinct two-tone profile to limit finishing work, while chrome-like metal-plated components are supplied for brightwork including emblems, window surrounds and wheel caps. The interior provides seating and basic instrument details and printed stickers are included for window trim and instrument faces. Assembly is achieved by trimming parts from runners and clicking them together using the Clic Loc technique.
A colour-accurate, glue-free kit that concentrates on the Samba silhouette and basic cabin details, ideal for hobbyists seeking a quick, attractive model.
