This aluminium servo saver together with a matched tie rod is an aftermarket upgrade intended for the Wild Willy 2 WR-02 chassis. It is aimed at reducing steering slop and protecting the servo when running on rough terrain or during tuned driving sessions.
Swapping the stock plastic saver and rod for aluminium components increases resistance to flex and wear. This change helps the servo hold centre more reliably and produces a steadier steering input when you alter trim or steering travel. The 25T marking refers to the servo spline size needed for correct fitment.
Installation is straightforward for WR-02 linkages: remove the factory saver and link, install the aluminium saver onto the servo horn spline, then connect the tie rod to the saver arm and steering knuckle. Check movement for any binding across the steering range before locking fasteners.
For setup purposes, use the aluminium saver with a hi-torque servo when you need firmer feedback for fine adjustments. The stiffer link reduces unwanted movement so small trim tweaks become more effective; still inspect steering tolerances to avoid over-tightening the system.
