Precision 3mm Swiss 7075 T6 Chassis for XB8E

This aluminium chassis has been developed specifically for the XRAY XB8E platform to support a narrower stance and a reduced battery height. It integrates modified battery trays, a revised electronics plate and a covered receiver box to position the battery lower and closer to the centreline for improved mass distribution.

Manufactured from Swiss 7075 T6 aluminium at a 3mm thickness, the plate includes selective material removal and purpose-cut flex zones to manage stiffness and ensure repeatable flex characteristics. The updated rear C-holder placement is part of the layout revisions that influence traction and high-speed stability under different track conditions.

For setup, expect the chassis geometry and flex calibration to have a direct effect on traction, steering response and overall equilibrium. After fitting, double-check battery orientation, electronics layout and consider small suspension adjustments to exploit the narrower, lower centreline configuration.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some XRAY items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
The trays are revised for a lower and narrower position; confirm your battery dimensions against the tray envelope before installation to ensure correct fit.
Yes, the milled flex zones alter chassis compliance, which can shift traction balance; use small incremental changes to suspension and toe to find the new neutral point.
Often a slight adjustment to damping or spring rate helps compensate for the changed roll behavior caused by the lower battery location; test on a controlled layout to dial it in.
Moving the rear C-holder shifts rear roll and weight transfer characteristics, which can increase rear bite in some conditions and require balancing front grip accordingly.
The hard-anodized coating improves surface wear resistance and is suitable for regular track use, though extreme impacts can still mark the surface.
Verify battery and receiver fit, re-check screw torque at mounting points, and run a handling test to confirm suspension and roll center settings match the new layout.
