Improved Cornering with XRAY X4 Glass Fiber Deck

Designed for racers chasing crisper turn-in on slick to intermediate track surfaces, the XRAY 301079-K X4 Glass Fiber Upper Deck adds measured compliance. Constructed from 1.5mm glass fiber, the plate helps the chassis flex in a controlled way to boost traction and steering feedback.

Flex Behaviour for Track Variation

The deck's layout encourages the chassis to adapt to changing grip levels, helping the tyres bite more effectively across corner phases. The result is better handling balance and more consistent steering response lap after lap.

Two Setup Choices to Dial In Balance

Choose the mounting that matches your track conditions and style:

  • Soft Setting: Fast-fit with only one rear screw to maximise deck flex and increase steering. This setting improves turn-in and mid-corner bite but can feel less planted under heavy acceleration.
  • Stiff Setting: Use both screws to stiffen the mount, reducing rotation and mid-corner steering. This gives a more stable, predictable platform when you need it.
Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some XRAY items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
Typically the plate fits as supplied, but check screw holes and chassis clearance during installation. Light sanding of edges is only needed if you want a neater finish.
Yes, by increasing front chassis flex the deck enhances steering feel and turn-in on low- to medium-grip layouts, especially in the soft configuration.
Inspect mounting holes and edges after heavy use, and keep the deck free from oil and debris to maintain consistent flex properties.
Yes, the deck works alongside common setup changes like shock valving and anti-roll tuning; test changes incrementally to understand their combined effect.
