Reinforce a Classic XRAY T2(007) Chassis

The XRAY 303019 - T2(007) Right Aluminum Layshaft Bulkhead is a machined replacement designed to strengthen the layshaft mount area on older T2 models. Constructed from durable aluminium, this component provides a solid platform for the layshaft and related bearings, helping preserve handling characteristics on technical circuits.

Why Aluminium Improves Performance

Aluminium is chosen for its stiffness-to-weight ratio, delivering extra support without penalising agility. This XRAY 303019 - T2(007) bulkhead reduces flex in the driveline area, which can translate to crisper steering and more predictable throttle response.

Designed for Direct Replacement

Engineered to mate with the XRAY T2(007) right-hand mounting points, this bulkhead installs with the original hardware and aligns with stock components. It is a good option for restorations and for racers who want a reliable spare that fits straight into their existing setup.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some XRAY items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
This part is specifically shaped for the right side of the XRAY T2(007) chassis and will not mirror-fit to the left without modification.
Anodising adds surface protection and a finished look but does not change the core strength; the primary benefit is corrosion resistance and scratch protection on exposed parts.
When installed correctly the bulkhead maintains original geometry, so gear mesh and layshaft alignment should remain unchanged. Always verify mesh after fitting.
Work methodically, keep screws organised, and if fasteners are seized use penetrating oil and gentle heat. Avoid forcing parts to prevent damage to surrounding chassis sections.
