High-Precision Narrow Pinion for T4 2017

Improve your T4 2017 handling with the XRAY 305922 Narrow Pinion Gear. Produced from light duraluminium, the 22T/48 pinion is 1.5mm thinner and around 25 percent lighter than standard pinions, delivering lower inertia while keeping concentricity tight for more predictable gearing behaviour.

Surface Treatment and Longevity

The hardcoat finish applied to each XRAY pinion increases surface strength and slows wear. Combined with chamfered teeth and a proper run-in, the pinion meshes cleanly with spur gears, including XRAY units, helping to reduce gear noise under throttle changes.

Optimised for Competition

Made for serious club racers, the narrow profile and accurate machining support smoother acceleration and crisper throttle response. It is a practical upgrade for those tuning lap time and driveability on race day.

If the older T4 uses the same 22T/48 pinion spec and the mounting interface matches, the 305922 will work. Verify shaft diameter and grub screw location before fitting.
The hardcoat mainly improves wear resistance. After a short bedding period the mesh tends to feel smoother and more consistent, with less chatter during off throttle and on throttle transitions.
Pair the pinion with a quality spur that has matching tooth profile and minimal runout. Check mesh with a thin shim or tape method and avoid excessive backlash to keep noise down.
