XRAY 305930 Narrow Pinion for Accurate Mesh

The XRAY 305930 Narrow Pinion Gear is ideal for racers who prioritise precise tooth engagement and reduced rotating mass. Crafted from aircraft grade aluminum, it is 1.5mm narrower and about 25% lighter than standard pinions, helping lower overall drivetrain weight.

Manufacturing Quality and Surface Treatment

Made on XRAY modified precision gear machines, this pinion is produced to very fine tolerances to maximise concentricity. Chamfered teeth edges and a protective hardcoat finish enhance wear resistance and maintain consistent contact under load.

Fitment and Drive Characteristics

Designed to work with common spur gears, the XRAY narrow pinion is particularly effective when matched with XRAY spurs to reduce throttle noise and smooth power delivery. It comes ready to install straight from the package.

Will the XRAY 305930 fit all motor shafts?

The pinion uses standard bore sizing; verify your motor shaft diameter and use the correct grub screws or adapters to secure the pinion without slop.

How often should I inspect the pinion?

Check the pinion for wear and runout regularly, especially after hard sessions. Keep gear teeth clean and recheck mesh after any gearbox servicing.

Does the hardcoat finish change gear brightness or fit?

The hardcoat adds surface protection without altering fit. It can slightly darken the aluminium appearance but does not affect dimensional fit when manufactured to spec.
