The XRAY 305971 Narrow Pinion Gear targets hobbyists who want lower rotating weight and reliable shift-in control. Crafted from aircraft quality aluminium, it is 1.5mm slimmer and about 25% lighter than common pinions to help trim overall weight without sacrificing integrity.

High Tolerance Production

Produced on specialist gear machines with tight tolerances, this pinion shows excellent concentricity for consistent performance. The chamfered tooth profile and hardcoat finish extend service life under frequent running.

Wide Compatibility and Low Noise

This narrow pinion mates cleanly with many spur gears, including XRAY spurs, delivering smooth throttle transitions and quieter drivetrain operation. It comes ready to fit for quick trackside swaps.

Yes. The XRAY 305971 pinion is suitable for modern brushless setups, provided the pinion bore and shaft fit your motor and the gear mesh is set correctly.

Do I need spacers or shims to fit this pinion?

Most installs require only standard motor shaft spacing. If your motor mount or shaft differs, use the correct spacer or shim to achieve ideal mesh.

Will the narrow width affect gear tooth wear?

A narrower face can concentrate load slightly, so proper mesh and periodic inspection are important. When matched to compatible spurs the wear remains minimal.
