Featherweight Narrow Pinion by XRAY

Built for hobbyists who tune and race, the XRAY 305983 Narrow Pinion Gear trims weight while keeping strength where it counts. Constructed from aircraft-grade duraluminum, this pinion is 1.5mm thinner and roughly 25% lighter than standard units, making it a sensible weight-saving upgrade for competitive setups.

High Precision Production

Each narrow pinion is manufactured on a precision gear machine to maintain tight tolerances and excellent concentricity. That level of control helps ensure consistent performance across many runs and reduces vibration caused by out-of-round parts.

Protective Hardcoat Treatment

After machining the gears receive a chamfer and run-in before a hardcoat finish is applied. This lining improves resistance to wear and helps the gear keep its profile through repeated use, supporting longer service intervals between replacements.

Compatibility and Smoother Operation

These narrow pinions are suitable with most spur gears but pair especially well with XRAY spur gears for best results. Their slim profile and precise teeth help lower throttle on/off clatter and provide a cleaner drive feel on both track and practice sessions.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some XRAY items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
Match the module and tooth count of your spur to the 33T pinion for correct mesh; most 48 pitch and compatible modules will work if matched correctly.
Keep the gear clean and check for burrs after runs. The hardcoat resists wear, but debris and poor mesh will still shorten life if ignored.
The tooth count determines the ratio; swapping to this 33T pinion alters final drive depending on your spur size, so plan ratio changes when tuning for speed or acceleration.
Installation is straightforward: fit to the motor shaft, set proper mesh using a thin shim method, and tighten securely. If unsure, check a build guide or local club for hands-on help.
