Sharper Steering with XLP2 Progressive Shocks

For drivers chasing cleaner turn-in from an XRAY X4 2025, the XRAY 308129 XLP2 Aluminum Progressive Shock System Set (2) provides a controllable progressive dampening curve to improve traction and steering feedback. The system focuses on midstroke tuning to stabilise handling.

How the Progressive Insert Works

The design uses an insert cut with three triangular slots combined with pistons that have no holes. This setup shifts the stiffness control to the insert, so as the piston moves upward the damping ramps from soft to firm for a more adaptive ride on sealed circuits.

Manufacturing and Component Quality

Inserts are CNC machined from Swiss 7075 T6 aluminum with a protective black coating for strength and longevity. Composite pistons receive precise molding and grinding to achieve excellent roundness and rigidity, helping sustain consistent damping lap after lap.

Compatibility and Installation Notes

These inserts should be used with non-vented pistons and fitted to both front and rear shocks for balanced handling changes. They are tuned for asphalt-style surfaces and work with standard shock oils.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some XRAY items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
Fitting the inserts only at the front will change balance and could cause unpredictable handling; the recommended setup is front and rear for consistent behaviour.
Yes, use pistons without holes so the insert controls the damping progression as intended.
Spring rates may remain the same when first testing; adjust springs only if you need different ride height or to fine tune midcorner behaviour after fitting the inserts.
