Can I use the original shock pistons with these bodies?

In most cases the stock pistons fit. Check piston diameter and travel against the new bodies to confirm clearance before assembly.

Are there special tools needed for installation?

Standard shock service tools like a shock shaft holder, soft jaws and shock oil syringes are sufficient. No specialised tooling is required beyond common RC workshop gear.

Will they affect shock oil choice?

Aluminum bodies can help dissipate heat better than plastic, but oil choice still depends on your setup and track. Keep oil selection based on piston size, damping preference and track conditions.
