Precision short-body aluminium shocks

The XRAY 338002-K aluminium shock absorber set is supplied as two 20.8mm short-body shocks tailored for NT1 series 1/10 on-road RC chassis. The compact body and shorter shaft combination improve predictability in suspension movement, helping drivers achieve steadier corner entry and exit.

Supplied pistons include both 2-hole and 3-hole options in three bore sizes: 1.0mm, 1.1mm and 1.2mm, enabling detailed control of oil flow and midstroke damping. Pistons are moulded from white Delrin to keep bore roundness and material stiffness for consistent performance over time.

Bodies are CNC-machined from Swiss 7075 T6 aluminium and surface hardened for increased wear resistance. External fine threads let you set ride height and preload precisely, while the slim membranes ensure smooth, repeatable damping under variable track conditions.

Specifications

  • Item Aluminium shock absorber set, short-body, 20.8mm, 2 pcs
  • Material Swiss 7075 T6 aluminium bodies, Delrin pistons
  • Model Number 338002-K
  • Compatibility Intended for NT1 series 1/10 on-road RC chassis
  • Piston options 2-hole and 3-hole pistons in 1.0, 1.1, 1.2mm

Use these shocks to expand your damping choices on tighter circuits; combine piston selection and oil weight to fine tune mid-corner balance and exit traction.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some XRAY items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
Start with the 2-hole 1.1mm piston to increase midstroke flow slightly, then adjust oil viscosity. This offers a balanced starting point for more front-end grip in turns.
Two-hole pistons allow greater flow and a softer midstroke response; three-hole pistons restrict flow for firmer damping. Combine with bore size and oil choice to refine handling.
Yes. The pistons are designed for quick changes; keep spares of preferred bore/hole combinations and the correct shock oil to make effective trackside adjustments.
Delrin pistons maintain shape and stiffness longer than softer plastics, helping damping remain consistent. Inspect for wear and replace if bore tolerance changes.
Use lighter oil with smaller piston bores for quicker response, and heavier oil with larger bores for firmer midstroke. Test one variable at a time to see the effect on cornering and exit.
