High Strength Radio Plate Mounts by XRAY

The XRAY 346231 mounts are created to secure your radio plate with dependable strength on vintage RX series models. Built from Swiss 7075 T6 aluminium, they resist wear and maintain alignment under load. The design update allows a small throttle servo to be positioned underneath the radio plate for tidier electronics layout and better protection.

Accurate Belt Tension Adjustment

The left-hand mount features adjustment capability for precise belt tension, which helps maintain drivetrain performance and reduces slop. Precision CNC machining provides a snug fit and helps prevent stripped threads that can occur with softer materials.

Benefits for Model Builders and Racers

This two-part set (left and right) is aimed at modders and racers who want improved stability and lower maintenance. The aluminium mounts cut down on flex and help extend the service life of mounting points on older RX chassis.

The holes are machined to suit the mounting pattern used on vintage RX series, so they work with the standard screws recommended for those models.
For most hobby builds the 7075 T6 aluminium provides ample strength, though high power or extreme use may benefit from checking surrounding chassis mounts for wear.
These are supplied as machined aluminium; anodising is possible but check tolerances after finishing work to ensure fit is maintained.
The precision machining reduces the risk of cross-threading and strip, especially compared with softer materials, improving long term reliability.
