Engineered clutch upgrade from XRAY for cleaner engagement

The XRAY 348501 XCA Reverse Clutch Set refreshes older RX series cars with a reverse engagement layout that helps tame sudden throttle reactions. Designed to smooth power delivery, the set helps protect the clutch shoe and eases throttle control in close racing. Key components are produced from HUDY Spring Steel and Swiss 7075 T6 aluminum for durability and lightness.

Complete hardware package for a direct swap

Included are the clutchbell, clutch nut, flywheel nut and a thrustbearing collar manufactured from HUDY Spring Steel. The flywheel, clutch disc and spring cup are hardcoated Swiss 7075 T6 aluminium pieces to resist wear. The updated conical clutch washer spring improves repeatable engagement across laps.

Start with light runs and avoid full-throttle launches for the first few outings so the new surfaces bed in. Gradually increase load to let the spring and shoe seating stabilise.

Can I tune engagement with different springs?

Yes, swapping to firmer or softer washer springs alters engagement feel; the conical spring in this kit provides a predictable baseline for fine tuning to track conditions.
