Designed for club and off-road use, the XRAY 352651 ball studs with backstop combine Hudy Spring Steel strength with XT9 compatibility. These studs aim to reduce steering failures by keeping the linkage secure during heavy use.

Improved Ball Geometry on the V2 Version

The updated ball geometry increases downtravel so steering inputs remain controlled through rough terrain and when landing from jumps. The backstop helps prevent the steering rod from disconnecting if the car takes a hit.

Practical Fitment Advice

Fit the studs into the ball cups before attaching the steering blocks to maintain correct alignment. This approach helps preserve steering geometry and reduces service intervals between events.

Do these studs need thread locker?

Light use of medium-strength thread locker on the threads is recommended for race use to prevent loosening while still allowing future removal.

They will work if the steerer bore and ball spacing match; confirm fit and clearance with your chosen blocks before final assembly.

How often should I inspect the studs?

Check them before each event or after heavy impacts; look for wear, thread damage, or deformation and replace if any defect is found.
