High-Precision 48T Spur Gear for Centre Differential Upgrades

The XRAY 355048 Center Differential Spur Gear is a finely machined 48-tooth gear crafted to improve drivetrain smoothness in 1/10 scale RC cars. Precision cutting on specialist gear machinery gives predictable engagement and extended wear life.

Required Parts and Fitment Advice

This 48T spur is designed to work with XRAY centre differentials and requires the Center Diff Shimming Plates (#354032) plus the Aluminum Center Diff Mounting Plate 7075 T6 (3mm) (#354055) because of the increased diameter. Using these parts together ensures correct clearance and a stable drivetrain arrangement suitable for racing or club practice.

Why Racers Choose This Spur Gear

For competitive builders the XRAY 355048 delivers low friction and consistent power transfer thanks to tight machining tolerances. That translates into more predictable throttle response and reliable performance across practice sessions and race days.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some XRAY items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
Older housings may accept the 48T but you must check for extra clearance needs. Measure the diff area and confirm you can install the shimming plates (#354032) and mounting plate (#354055) without interference.
Mesh is set the same way as smaller spurs but pay attention to face contact across the larger diameter. Use shims and fine adjustments to avoid binding or excessive backlash.
A 48T favours tracks where strong traction and smooth power are needed, such as tight or technical layouts. It helps with acceleration out of slower corners.
Keep the gear clean of grit, check for burrs or wear, and ensure proper lubrication where applicable. Replace if tooth wear or pitting appears to avoid drivetrain damage.
