Felt Barrier Kit for XB808

The XRAY 358062 Felt Shim Set slips onto XB808 aluminium shock nuts to form a protective layer against dirt and fine debris. This four-piece pack reduces the chance of contaminants reaching the shock oil and seals, helping to retain consistent performance during club meets and practice. A practical add-on for anyone maintaining older or vintage series cars.

Can I use these in wet or muddy conditions?

They provide a barrier against mud and grit but will absorb water if submerged, so dry and replace shims after very wet runs to avoid trapping moisture on seals.

Do they work with aftermarket seals?

In most cases the felt shims sit under the existing seal. Check clearance with thicker aftermarket seals to ensure the shim does not interfere with shock travel.

Are they reusable after cleaning?

You can gently clean light soiling, but replace shims that shed or lose thickness. Fresh felt ensures the best protection.
