Are these designed just for XB8 shocks?

They are optimised for the XRAY XB8 front assemblies. Other cars with matching bore and thread pitch might accept them, but you should check dimensions before fitting.

Which shock oil should I use with these bodies?

Oil choice depends on track conditions and driving style. Use a quality big-bore shock oil and test viscosities to achieve the desired rebound and bump control.

Do they change the weight of the front end?

Aluminium bodies are slightly heavier than some composites but stiffer and more durable. Any weight change is minimal and often outweighed by improved consistency and longevity.

Can I use the original springs and caps?

Original springs and caps that fit the XB8 big-bore dimensions will work. Verify spring seat fit on the new external thread to ensure correct preload adjustment.
