Big Bore Rear Shocks Built for XT8 Performance

The XRAY 358209 XT8 Rear Big Bore Shock Absorbers are designed to give the XT8 improved control and predictable responses. The pair arrives with soft folding rubber boots and blue springs rated at C = 0.61. External threading and adjustable collars on the 18.5mm outer bodies let you dial in the downstop precisely.

Durable Aluminium and Accurate Pistons

Hardcoated bodies and one-piece aluminium caps resist abrasion and extend service intervals. With a 15.3mm inner bore, oil moves consistently through round composite pistons, producing steady damping. These pistons are molded for exact roundness and smooth travel.

Improved Sealing and Membrane Design

Updated wider membranes suit the big-bore architecture to maintain even damping over long runs and heavy use. The bottom assembly uses premium silicone O-rings and composite shims to cut oil leakage and permit free rod movement. The aluminium lower cap secures the internals and helps block debris.

Robust Shafts for Aggressive Driving

3.5mm shock shafts are made from high-tensile steel and ground to a fine finish to resist bending and scoring during hard landings. This gives reliable service on rough tracks and jumps.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some XRAY items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
They are intended for XT8 suspension geometry; older revisions that keep the same mounting spacing should accept them, but double check mount spacings before buying.
Oil weight depends on track and driving style; medium to heavier oils help control pitch on high-speed tracks, while lighter oils aid small bump compliance.
Replacement composite pistons and silicone O-rings are available from parts suppliers; keep spare seals to avoid downtime at the track.
