Later engagement reduces abrupt torque transfer, which can reduce tyre hop on launch at the cost of slightly slower initial hook up compared to very soft shoes.
Check for even wear and keep mating surfaces clean. Aluminum shoes can wear bell surfaces differently than composite shoes, so inspect the clutch bell and shoes periodically.
Pairing with lighter flywheels changes the inertia and can alter engagement rpm; trial setups are recommended to find the best balance for your engine and track.
