Aluminium Motor Bulkhead Built for XRAY Vintage XB

The XRAY 364011 Aluminium Motor Bulkhead is CNC made from Swiss 7075 T6 aluminium and crafted to suit vintage XRAY XB chassis. It accepts both brushed and brushless motors, making it a practical replacement or upgrade for classic setups.

Flexible motor orientation and eccentric mount

The design permits motor rotation from right-to-left so you can choose front or rear motor placement. The motor is attached to an eccentric mounting plate which slots into an integrated holder that carries the drivetrain. This layout simplifies gear mesh adjustments and clamps down securely with one screw.

Quick release bayonet for workshop convenience

A bayonet mounting system stops the motor plate from working loose in heavy use or after knocks. When you need to service or swap the motor, rotate the mount plate the other way to remove it quickly without tools.

Will this fit all XB vintage models?

It is designed for the older XRAY XB vintage range. Verify your chassis' mounting pattern to be certain of compatibility.

How does the eccentric plate help with gear mesh?

Turning the eccentric plate moves the motor slightly, allowing fine tuning of pinion to spur mesh without shims. Once set, the clamp screw locks it in place.

Is the bayonet strong enough for racing?

The bayonet system is designed to hold under typical racing loads and minor impacts, keeping the plate locked to the holder during aggressive running.

Any maintenance advice?

Keep the bayonet and clamp screw free of grime and check torque after each hard session. Lightly lubricate contact points if corrosion is a concern.
