If you want cleaner, more dependable shock performance, the XRAY 368051 Aluminum Shock Cap-Nut Set is a practical upgrade for off-road RC rigs. Manufactured from Swiss 7075 T6 aluminium, these caps balance light weight with strong wear resistance.

Ventilated Design for Smoother Travel

The pair of aluminium cap nuts include vent holes to let air escape during shock compression, improving the shock stroke feel. The black coating helps hide track wear and adds a neat finish.

Adjustable Travel Using Supplied Shims

Included shims let you tweak uptravel and downtravel on the fly, so you can fine tune handling for loose surfaces, hardpack, or mixed conditions without hunting for extra parts.

Do these cap nuts fit the XB4 shocks?

They are designed around XRAY off-road shock geometry and are commonly compatible with XB4 style assemblies, but confirm the cap diameter and thread match first.

Will the vent holes cause oil leakage?

When installed correctly with the shock seal in place, the vent holes only relieve air and should not lead to oil loss. Proper assembly and checking seals is recommended.

How should I set up the shims?

Start with a neutral shim stack and make small changes to uptravel or downtravel, testing on your typical surface until the balance between traction and damping feels right.
