Precision aluminium base for the XRAY X1'17

The XRAY 371010 X1'17 Aluminium Chassis is precision CNC-machined from 2mm Swiss 7075 T6 aluminium to provide a stiff platform that improves handling consistency for X1 cars. Its black finish and engineered profile help maximise traction and directional stability on high-grip circuits.

Handling upgrades and tuning options

This chassis enhances steering feel and makes the car easier to place through corners, valuable for race setups. It features a new 2-position pod link mount allowing standard outer placement or an inner angle-mount to alter in-corner bite and turn-in characteristics.

Compatibility, mounting and care

Works with the aluminium pod plate #371148 and includes a forward central plate mounting to suit the short shock arrangement. Note that slight longitudinal bend from machining is normal; check alignment during installation and make small adjustments if needed.

Switching between the outer and inner pod link mounting alters front-end steering and mid-corner behaviour, letting you tune for more or less steering as track conditions demand.
Place the chassis on a known flat surface or use a straight edge. Small bends can be corrected slowly with controlled pressure or by using shims at mounting points.
