The XRAY 371016 X1'18 Aluminum Chassis is manufactured from 2.0mm Swiss 7075 T6, using precision CNC machining to deliver reliable rigidity and improved steering precision. Its finish is black coated for added durability and a tidy race look.

Reduced Track Contact for Better Turns

This chassis is trimmed 24mm narrower than earlier versions to minimise contact when cornering. The narrower footprint helps maintain momentum through bends and sharpens handling dynamics. It is compatible with the #371148 aluminum rear pod plate for a correct assembly.

Fine-Tune Battery Placement

The design includes a slot for a composite battery backstop that permits up to 5mm of adjustment. That allowance makes it straightforward to dial in front-to-rear balance using cross-chassis alignment methods.

Is additional machining needed to fit this chassis?

No extra machining is required when installed on X1'18 kits; it uses the standard mounting pattern and mates with the #371148 rear pod plate for correct positioning.

Will the chassis change handling on low-traction surfaces?

This chassis is optimised for high and very-high traction. On low-traction surfaces you may notice a different balance and should adjust suspension settings accordingly.

Can I mix this with carbon or composite upgrade parts?

Yes. The XRAY 371016 works with common upgrades, but verify fit and clearances when combining metal and composite components to avoid interference.
