Balanced lightweight axle for XRAY X1/X10 setups

The XRAY 375017-L Lightweight Rear Gear Differential Axle Shaft is intended for enthusiasts who want more precise control from their 1/10 scale pan car or formula vehicle. Built from HUDY Spring Steel, the shaft offers excellent structural integrity and refined balance to help reduce vibration and improve feel.

Reduced inertia for improved throttle response

This axle shaft lowers rotating mass to deliver crisper acceleration and more responsive handling. It is a direct successor to Axle Shaft #375017 and fits with Gear Diff #374901 for 1/10 Formula cars and Gear Diff #374902 for 1/10 Pan Cars.

Notes on wear and selection

Performance gains come with a trade-off in some wear characteristics when compared to conventional ball differentials. If maximum durability is the priority, consider retaining a standard ball differential solution.

Can I swap this into my existing diff housing?

In most cases yes, provided your car uses the matching gear diff model numbers. The 375017-L replaces the older #375017 and is compatible with Gear Diff #374901 and #374902.

What are the signs the shaft needs replacing?

Look for scoring, bends, or persistent vibration under load. If steering feel degrades or you notice uneven wear, inspect the shaft and related diff components.

Should I change my diff setup after fitting this shaft?

Small adjustments to diff oil weight and setup may be beneficial to take full advantage of the lower rotating mass. Test with incremental changes to find the best balance for your track conditions.
