You can reuse a clip if it remains springy and undamaged, but whenever there is visible wear or deformation it is safer to fit a new one from the XRAY 968050 set.

Should I apply lubricant where the clip sits?

Avoid putting lubricant on the clip seating area as it could affect grip. Light lubrication on nearby bearings is fine, but keep the groove clean and dry for secure clip retention.

How many spare clips should I carry to events?
