The XRAY X12'19 Graphite Battery Backstop is a precision part crafted to help you refine balance and traction. Made from high-grade graphite and CNC-machined, it brings consistent fitment and strength for track use.

Fine Adjustment for Battery Location

The unit offers four distinct positions spaced by 2mm, allowing up to a 6mm forward adjustment of the battery. That incremental control helps you trim understeer or oversteer depending on surface and setup.

  • Forward Battery Placement: Encourages steadier turn-in and reduced front lift, making the car more forgiving over uneven sections.
  • Rearward Battery Placement: Loads the rear for increased corner exit speed, though it can make the car feel livelier and more demanding to drive.

Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some XRAY items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. How precise are the adjustment steps?

Each position is separated by 2mm so you can make consistent, measurable moves. The total forward shift available is 6mm, which is enough to notice handling changes without radical modifications.

Will this change require other setup tweaks?

Minor adjustments to camber, toe or diff settings may help you fully capitalise on the new weight distribution. Try one change at a time and log lap feedback to find the best combination.

Is the backstop compatible with stock battery straps?

It is intended for the XRAY X12'19 battery area and should work with the stock hold-down arrangement. Verify clearance after fitting and adjust strap placement as needed.
