Battery Placement Control for X12

The XRAY 376120 X12 Carbon Battery Backstop is made to improve how you position the battery on X12 chassis. Built from premium American-made carbon fiber, it gives racers repeatable adjustment for setup changes between meetings.

Five Position Adjustment Explained

This backstop provides five selectable positions and allows up to 6mm of forward movement. The four forward detents move in roughly 2mm increments, letting you dial in small changes that affect traction and midcorner balance.

CNC-machined from high-grade carbon fiber, the backstop keeps weight to a minimum while delivering stiff, race-ready performance. The premium material choice helps maintain component integrity under competitive conditions.

Will this help with understeer or oversteer?

Moving the battery forward tends to reduce oversteer by stabilising the front end, while moving it back can increase rotation and loosen the rear for sharper cornering.

Most common battery profiles for the X12 will work, but confirm pack dimensions and mounting clearance to ensure the chosen position does not interfere with other components.
