Retention assembly for XRT 8S batteries

This aluminium hold-down is an installation kit aimed at TRAXXAS chassis and sized to suit common 1/6 scale electric packs. Constructed from 7075-T6 for rigidity, it combines snap-lock style clamps with 3M adhesive foam pads to reduce battery movement when driving over rough surfaces. The layout keeps installation simple while allowing builders to choose battery orientation and tuning.

Installation uses either the supplied flat head screws or the 3M adhesive pads depending on access and personal preference. The snap-lock clamps provide consistent clamping for standard 1/6 scale packs and the aluminium base resists flex that can lead to pack shift. Position the battery to retain the intended centre of gravity, then secure with screws to tapped bosses or use the adhesive pads where screws are impractical.

Select screws or adhesive pads to suit your chassis layout and tuning goals; ensure cables are routed clear of the clamp area during assembly.
