Designed specifically for the Tamiya XV-01 platform, this kit (JR-XV103-BK) swaps plastic steering components for anodized aluminum parts with bearing interfaces. The intent is to improve mechanical precision and remove unwanted movement at steering pivots.
The assembly functions as a direct substitute for the standard knuckles and linkages, positioning bearings where factory pieces use plain pivots so steering inputs register with less hysteresis and more consistency.
Fitment advice: check the uprights and rack alignment before final assembly, verify that bearings seat flush and spin freely, and test steering throw and centring when the servo is mounted. Inspect clearances around the servo horn and re-check fastener torque after the first runs.
