BD8 balance weight details

This 40g centre weight is produced for BD8 on-road chassis and is supplied in steel to adjust the centre of mass of RC models. It is intended purely as an add-on mass to influence handling balance and not to alter suspension parts or geometry.

When used in tuning the weight shifts the chassis centre of gravity toward its mounting position, which can assist with transition control between understeer and oversteer, enhance traction on corner exit, and stabilise straight-line behaviour depending on the rest of the setup. It functions as ballast for subtle setup changes at the track.

Fitting is simple where BD8-compatible mounting locations exist; the weight sits on the centreline so fore-aft and lateral balance are affected in a predictable manner. Remove or adjust the position to evaluate handling differences before committing to further changes.
