Purpose-built belt stabiliser for BD9 chassis

The Yokomo B9-RBTSA rear belt tensioner is made for BD9-style touring cars and mounts on the centre bulk to keep the rear belt running true. It combats the belt oscillation that can lead to tooth skipping, maintaining steady engagement under throttle and during direction changes.

Compatibility is limited to the models shown below; the device mounts to the centre bulk area and functions by guiding the belt angle and holding tension locally without modifying belt length or fundamental drivetrain layout. Because it targets the belt run, the tensioner reduces intermittent backlash and improves drive consistency.

Fitting and setup are straightforward: secure the tensioner so the roller or contact point follows the belt line, confirm there is no interference with nearby components, then run static checks and low-speed trials to verify alignment. Minor adjustments to the unit position will remove slack or prevent over-tightening—monitor belt condition after initial use and re-check periodically.

Use this part as a tuning and maintenance aid to stabilise belt behaviour on BD9 platforms.

Compatible Models

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Yokomo items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
Expect reduced belt noise and fewer skipped teeth events, which translates to smoother power delivery and more predictable drivetrain response during acceleration and cornering.
No. The tensioner adjusts the belt path and local tension but does not alter belt length or the chassis’ core drivetrain geometry.
Standard hand tools for centre bulk mounting are sufficient; setup is fine-tuned by hand while observing belt alignment during static and slow-speed checks.
