Softer compound front belt for BD7/BD5

This low-friction front drive belt is intended for Yokomo BD7 and BD5 series chassis. The BD-516L uses a softer compound than standard belts to reduce drag in the front drivetrain and is supplied as a single replacement part for 1/10 on-road vehicles where drivetrain efficiency affects handling.

Installation guidance: remove the front belt following your usual chassis procedures and route the BD-516L along the factory belt path on compatible BD7/BD5 variants. After fitting, check belt tracking, and adjust tension carefully. Because the compound is more compliant, expect different tension characteristics and set tension to prevent slip without excess preload.

Fit the belt by disassembling the front section as required, route it along the original belt path, then reassemble. Follow your chassis manual for safe disassembly and reassembly steps.
Yes. The softer material alters tension response, so loosen or tighten incrementally and test until there is no slip but preload is minimal.
After installation, rotate the drivetrain by hand to confirm the belt runs true; adjust pulleys or belt position if lateral movement appears before running the car.
