Designed for B-MAX rear damper use

The BM-S12100 spring is made for rear damping duties on B-MAX series rear shocks. It provides a straightforward replacement that will change compression and rebound response when installed in the correct rear shock assemblies.

Installation is standard: remove the shock cap and spring retainer, slide the spring onto the shaft, reseat the retainer and replace the cap. For tuning, adjust preload or spring choice incrementally and trial on the track to judge handling changes rather than relying only on numbers.

How do I fit the BM-S12100 onto a B-MAX rear shock?

Remove the cap and spring retainer, place the spring over the shock shaft so it seats evenly on the perch, then refit the retainer and cap. Check that the spring is centred and not binding.

Can I use this spring on a front damper?

It is designed for rear dampers; front use should only be attempted after confirming free length, coil diameter and rate match the front assembly requirements.

Will I need to change damper oil after swapping springs?

Changing spring rate can alter the overall suspension response, so you may need to revisit oil viscosity or damping settings to maintain the desired feel. Test progressively to find the right combination.
