High-performance light alloy spur adapter

The Yokomo D-024A spur gear adapter is made to trim rotating weight in the drivetrain while adding a durable blue anodized aluminium surface suited to drift models. The reduced inertia at the spur gear can sharpen throttle response and improve the transient feel when refining drift throttle inputs.

Intended as a visual and weight-saving upgrade for the listed DP-series and MRTC chassis, the unit fits the specified mounting pattern. Fitting requires routine removal of the spur area and small hand tools; the adapter includes the matching screws so no separate fasteners are usually required.

Is the D-024A built to last under drift usage?

The adapter is machined from anodized aluminium and designed for reduced mass; the finish and material are chosen for reasonable durability in drift applications, though regular inspection is advised under heavy use.

Does the kit include the screws needed for a proper fit?

Yes. The package contains the pan head BH screws and the 3 x 4mm set screw required to match the listed mounting pattern, so additional fasteners are normally not necessary.

Will the anodized finish resist workshop wear?

The blue anodized surface provides corrosion resistance and surface hardness beyond bare aluminium; while not impervious to heavy abrasion, it offers solid protection for typical tuning and trackside handling.
