It can be used with carbon blocks if the thread and bore match. Always check clearances and use appropriate washers or shims to avoid binding.
Changing rod end length and block position will affect steering geometry, including Ackermann. Make small adjustments and test on your usual surface to find the right balance.
A light thread locker or medium torque locknut is advisable for race use to prevent loosening, but avoid overdoing it to keep future removal straightforward.
Most installs do not need additional parts, though you may need different ball studs or shims depending on your steering link geometry.
