The Yokomo DPM-ORCZ33 recreates the Top Secret Z33 raced in 2007 at D1 events in a 1/16 scale drift kit. Its painted polycarbonate shell recreates the race livery and suits on-road drift layouts, letting fans practice controlled slides that mirror the full-size machine piloted by Youichi Imamura.
This platform uses a twin motor, gear down configuration feeding a full-time 4WD drive to balance torque for sustained drifts. The torque ring and twin motors add punch for transitions, while long travel dampers and soft cooling tyres smooth out bumps and help maintain directional control on asphalt or coated floors.
The bodywork is painted polycarbonate with accurate decal placement to echo the Top Secret Z33 aesthetic. A full ball bearing drivetrain reduces drag and the included ESC gives reliable throttle modulation. Front and rear accelerator assemblies are designed for consistent mechanical response.
Use a 2-channel proportional transmitter and a precision steering servo for the best result. Recommended power is a 2/3A 6V NiMH 5-cell battery with an AC fast charger. Start with softer dampers and stock tyres, and then experiment with damper rates and tyre compounds to find the desired drift angle.
With realistic body detail and a tunable 4WD layout, the Yokomo DPM-ORCZ33 suits practice sessions, club meets, and display collections for drift enthusiasts.
