Shock damper silicone oil — 20000cSt

This 30cc bottle is filled with 20000-rated silicone shock oil designed for RC damper cartridges and shock absorbers on 1/10 scale electric and nitro models. It is a single-component silicone tuning fluid intended to modify compression and rebound behavior in dampers.

Routine maintenance uses standard shock service steps: take the shock off the chassis, open the shaft and piston assembly, drain the existing fluid, inspect seals and pistons for wear or damage, then refill to the chosen volume and cycle the shaft to remove any air before reassembling. Note exact fill volumes and settings so you can revert if needed.

Tuning impact: at 20000cSt this oil gives a firm damping feel, slowing both compression and rebound relative to lighter oils. Viscosity changes affect vehicle balance and bump response, so make small adjustments and test on track. Internal piston sizes and shock length will change how the oil behaves in practice.

Storage and safety: keep the bottle tightly capped, avoid exposure to heat and direct sunlight, do not ingest and avoid prolonged inhalation, and store out of reach of children. Wipe away any spills around seals before seating them to prevent leaks.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Yokomo items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
The figure denotes the oil's viscosity class measured in centistokes; a higher number means a thicker fluid that resists flow more and produces stronger damping forces inside the shock.
Yes. Inspect piston and seal condition for wear, confirm the piston holes are clean, and verify shock bodies are free of scoring to ensure a good seal and predictable damping after refit.
Silicone oils are generally seal-friendly, but excessive contamination or improper filling can accelerate wear. Keep components clean and replace seals that show signs of damage.
