Pitching Damper Seal and Spring Locator for YRX 12

The Yokomo YOKYX40SC is a dedicated spring cup and O-ring cap designed for pitching dampers, specified for YRX 12 compatibility. Its role is to hold the spring seat in position while the O-ring cap forms a simple seal that limits oil migration around the damper shaft.

The spring cup establishes spring seating and stack height; the O-ring cap reduces internal fluid transfer and helps eliminate slack in the assembly. Prior to installation, compare the part profile with your YRX 12 damper shaft and spring dimensions and pick shock oil and spring rates that suit the chassis balance you want to achieve.

When installing, slide the cup into the damper to the chosen stack, fit the spring, and compress enough to seat the O-ring cap so the seal engages without creating excessive preload; check for free, smooth shaft travel before final reassembly. This component is intended as a 1/10 scale RC tuning accessory only.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Yokomo items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
Measure your damper shaft diameter and the internal seat bore, and check spring inner diameter to ensure the Yokomo YOKYX40SC seats correctly on your YRX 12 dampers.
The O-ring provides a controlled seal to limit oil migration, not an absolute barrier; it reduces unwanted internal flow to stabilise pitching behavior.
Inspect the O-ring for wear periodically and replace if flattened or cracked; re-check stack height after servicing to maintain consistent pitch response.
