Track-Ready Basics of the Yokomo R12

The Yokomo R12 is a focused 1/12 pan car built for drivers who prioritise setup and consistency. Its layout and components are aimed at delivering repeatable handling for club racing and practice laps.

Stiff Yet Tunable Chassis

The 2.5mm carbon chassis accepts 1S LiPo packs and is engineered to give a controlled flex profile. With full ball bearings throughout and a high precision ball differential, drivetrain efficiency and smoothness are emphasised.

Responsive Front and Rear Systems

Front double-wishbone geometry paired with oil dampers and an anti-roll bar brings predictable turn-in. The rear link suspension with oil dampers keeps the rear axle settled under throttle and during mid-corner transitions.

Adjustments for Different Surfaces

Rear ride height is adjustable to suit a range of track surfaces, while the lightweight diff rings and long carbon rear shaft help maintain quick steering response and traction control under braking and acceleration.

Build Flexibility and Component Choice

The kit is supplied without electronics, body, tyres, servo, or battery so builders can select parts that match local track rules and personal driving preferences.

Yes. Changes to diff setup, damper oil and rear ride height help adapt the car between carpet and smoother asphalt surfaces.
Spare items like diff balls, bearings and suspension parts are commonly available. Upgrades such as lightweight driveshafts and tuned dampers can further refine performance.
