The Yokomo YOKR12-18O set supplies six O rings intended for YOKOMO R12 dampers to cover basic service tasks. These seals help sustain seal integrity and reduce the chance of oil weeps in shock units.

To replace, take off the damper cap and withdraw the piston rod, fit the replacement O ring to the shaft or cap seating area, then rebuild using the recommended shock oil and piston alignment. Keep the workbench and parts clean to avoid contamination that can abrade the ring.

O rings do not directly alter damping rates, but intact seals prevent oil loss and air entry, which keeps damping behaviour consistent between runs. Regular checks and swaps keep shocks predictable.
