Hex-socket king pin for knuckle fitment

This aftermarket king pin is made to fit Yokomo YRX12/R12/GT family knuckles as a direct swap for the factory pivot pin. The button head features a hex socket compatible with a 1.5mm hex key to speed up servicing when you change or fine tune the front end.

The R12-14S has an increased overall length versus the original part so the fixing nut can be fully threaded on even when a spacer is placed beneath the knuckle (spacer R12-14C?420 sold separately), helping to preserve clamp after ride-height or caster tweaks.

Use case: this is a cost-effective maintenance and tuning piece meant to improve fastening security at the knuckle during setup changes, not a structural overhaul. Fit on clean mating surfaces and use the correct 1.5mm hex driver, tightening to a firm but not excessive finish to protect threads.

When fitted correctly the longer pin helps maintain a secure nut engagement, which reduces movement at the joint and can lower wear from loosening. Regular inspection and correct tightening extend service life.
Yes. The R12-14S length is intended to allow full nut engagement when a spacer is fitted beneath the knuckle (see spacer R12-14C?420 sold separately), helping retain clamp after adjustments.
Loose fasteners are primarily caused by incorrect torque or contamination. Fit on a clean surface, use the proper 1.5mm hex tool, and check the joint periodically to keep the assembly secure.
