Rear Spring for Pitching Dampers

The Yokomo R12-18RSSH is a super hard copper rear shock spring made for the pitching damper on R12 and GT series 1/10 scale RC vehicles. It is offered as a tuning component to sharpen damper feel and boost suspension top-end stiffness without changing damper internals.

Fitment and function: use this spring where a higher rear spring rate is needed to curb pitch and maintain stability when accelerating or braking aggressively. It is a direct fit for chassis that use the R12/GT shock layout and mounting points.

Installation notes: mount as you would a regular coil spring, set the correct preload and check axle travel clearance. After upgrading to a super hard spring, revisit damping and rebound settings to prevent an underdamped car and keep traction predictable.

Remark :

Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
Expect a firmer rear-end with reduced pitch; the car will resist weight transfer more, which can help stability on tight transitions.
Copper springs offer consistent rate and durability; this super hard copper spring maintains rate under load but requires careful damping setup to remain compliant on rough surfaces.
Ensure the spring seats correctly and that the shock shaft has full travel. Recheck ride height and adjust damper settings after fitting.
