Designed as a bolt-in hop-up for Yokomo drift models, this aluminium front steering block offers greater stiffness than the original resin components while maintaining fitment across multiple RD/SD/MD chassis. The design divides the axle, steering block, and upper holder so you can alter shim stacks to tweak trail and kingpin without replacing the whole unit.

With the axle and holders CNC-machined from aluminium, the assembly resists flex better than stock resin parts, yielding a sharper steering response and steadier front-tire tracing during drift runs. Those traits are especially noticeable on tile and coloured concrete where precise alignment is critical.

Fitting the part replaces the stock steering elements and uses the included shims for incremental geometry changes; consider this an adjustability-focused upgrade to refine front-end feel rather than a chassis overhaul.

Aluminium resists flex and can tolerate heavier loads without deforming like resin. It can be more durable under repeated high-stress use, though hardware should still be monitored.
The part tightens front-end response and reduces compliance, which usually sharpens initial turn-in and stabilizes the front tyres, but it does not fundamentally change chassis geometry.
Shim stacks permit fine increments of trail and kingpin change, allowing methodical tuning to dial in steering weight and trace characteristics.
Routine inspection of mounting hardware and occasional cleaning are sufficient. Aluminium itself holds up well, but bolts should be checked after intensive running.
