Graphite strength and response

Designed for the RO line, this main chassis uses a graphite-mixed resin to increase structural stiffness while keeping the original outline and mounting layout intact.

Because the geometry remains the same, the chassis is intended as a direct replacement for RO-series frames and will accept existing screw points and accessories without modification. The added rigidity shifts handling toward faster response and more immediate steering feedback, which can be beneficial on high-grip tracks.

Note that this part alters chassis flex and therefore tuning balance rather than adding mechanical systems. After fitting, evaluate suspension preload and anti-roll settings to regain the preferred balance between traction and responsiveness.

For racers running RO-series cars on high-grip surfaces, this graphite-mixed main chassis is a straightforward upgrade that tightens response while keeping stock fitment; follow up with a setup check after installation.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Yokomo items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
The graphite-mixed resin increases stiffness but will behave similarly to reinforced plastics in impacts. It resists flex better, though repeated heavy impacts may still cause damage; inspect the part after hard crashes.
Not necessarily; the composite formulation improves rigidity while maintaining practical toughness. However, higher stiffness can transfer loads to mounting points, so check screw torque and mounting bushes after installation.
Maintenance is the same as a standard chassis: inspect for cracks, confirm mounting hardware is secure, and check alignment regularly, especially after impacts.
High-grip tracks such as carpet or freshly prepared asphalt will see the clearest benefits from reduced chassis flex, with sharper steering and more immediate feedback.
