The Yokomo RP-081 Racing Performer Ultra is a linear 3.2 shock spring crafted for 1/10 scale on-road touring cars. The equal-pitch coil provides a neutral feel and predictable damper travel across the stroke. Black finish and the laser-etched hardness code on the end make it easy to match springs during setup changes.

Field notes show the spring fitted on BD8-based setups, confirming compatibility with those chassis variants. It is sold as an RC component for use in touring-car damper systems only.

Fitting is conventional: slip the spring over the shock shaft between retainer and top mount, set the desired preload, and confirm free travel. As a tuning option, the RP-081 works well as a baseline linear spring when even mid-stroke support is needed without aggressive top-end ramping.
