Can the Yokomo SD-300B be used on rough surfaces?

Yes, when fitted to aluminium mounts the SD-300B offers stronger pivot support which helps resist wear from rough runs, though routine cleaning is recommended after off-road use.

Is any special grease required for this part?

Use a light, RC-specific bearing or pivot grease sparingly to reduce friction. Avoid heavy pastes that can trap dirt in the joint.

Will this change handling characteristics?

The SD-300B aims to stabilise the pivot rather than alter geometry. You may notice crisper steering response due to reduced play at the arm pin.
