The Yokomo SD-302DU is an aluminium upper center transmission case made to work with D-MAX standard components. It functions as the top housing for the centre gearbox, maintaining gear mesh accuracy and offering a stable seating surface for shafts and bearings.

To install, remove the OEM upper case, carry over bearings and internal gears intact, fit the SD-302DU and tighten fasteners while checking mesh and alignment. Using the original bearing sizes and fastener paths avoids altering the drivetrain geometry.

Viewed as a tuning component, this upper case increases structural stiffness and improves maintenance access. The rigid aluminium construction helps retain correct gear engagement under load and supports consistent setup adjustments during use.
