Why the SD-304DS Works

The Yokomo SD-304DS is an aluminum motor mount made specifically for the D-Max chassis and finished in anodized blue. The configuration centers on a clamp-style interface plus a separate motor cam and spring so you can remove and refit the motor without losing position references.

Functionally the component acts as a rigid anchor that holds the motor in line with the spur and pinion, helping reduce shifts in backlash and gear mesh under running conditions. Typical fitment steps are: secure the mount, set motor position using the clamp and cam, then torque the fasteners and confirm gear mesh.

Remark :

Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
The mount uses an anodized blue aluminum finish which offers good surface protection; avoid aggressive abrasives and check for nicks after track use to limit corrosion risk.
Under normal use the aluminum cam and clamp are durable, but inspect contact faces periodically and replace parts if you see deformation that affects repeatability.
The supplied spring is included in the kit; if you require a firmer or softer spring for tuning, source compatible small springs from hobby parts suppliers that match the original dimensions.
Regularly verify screw torque, inspect the mounting faces and cam for wear, and confirm gear mesh after any motor removal to keep alignment consistent.
