The Yokomo SD-414TA is an RC-scale aluminium light weight kingpin engineered to replace the original stepped screw that retains the front knuckle. By lowering unsprung and rotational mass where the knuckle pivots, it helps the steering track input changes more responsively while preserving the factory attachment interface.
Fitting is simple: remove the factory stepped screw and flange, position the supplied hard-coated flange, and fasten the knuckle using the included titanium button-head screws. The part keeps the existing knuckle geometry intact so roll center and ackermann remain as stock, allowing you to adjust steering characteristics through suspension tuning instead of altering link geometry.
From a setup perspective, this kingpin gives a modest reduction in inertia around the steering axis, which aids quicker transitions and a slightly sharper initial turn-in. It is designed to work alongside adjustments to caster, toe, and damping for fine-tuning, not as a standalone performance overhaul.
